Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the left drive axle assembly. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Front in Wheel Drive Shafts.

  3. Remove the snap ring from axle. Discard the snap ring. Do not reuse.

  4. Remove the output axle seal.

  5. Use the J 41227  to remove the sleeve from the output axle shaft.
