Removal Procedure

- The EVAP fresh air hose
- The EVAP purge connection
- The EVAP vent connection
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the EVAP canister fresh air line from the fuel tank fresh air line.
- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge line and vent line from the EVAP canister.
- Remove the EVAP canister-to-underbody fasteners.
- Disconnect the EVAP vent solenoid electrical connector.
- Remove the canister from the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
