Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Engine coolant must be drained below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LX9) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LZ9) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

  4. Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
  5. Remove the ECT sensor.
