Installation Procedure

  1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with engine oil.
  2. Coat the drive gear on the oil pump drive with prelube. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants  for the 3.5L engine.
  3. Install the oil pump drive.
  4. Install the oil pump drive clamp.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the oil pump drive bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 36 N.m (27 lb ft).

  6. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement .
