Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Oil Seal

  2. Pry out the oil seal using a large screwdriver or the equivalent.
  3. Inspect the following items for scratches:
    • The front cover
    • The crankshaft
