Oil Level Indicator and Tube Removal

  1. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe hose from the thermostat bypass pipe.
  2. IMPORTANT: Passenger cars will have a 16 pin connector attached to the bypass pipe. Passenger vans will have the connector attached to the drive belt shield.
  3. Remove the 16 pin connector.
  4. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and set aside.
  5. Remove the spark plug wire clip from the pipe.
  6. Remove the oil cooler hose if applicable.
  7. Remove the heated oxygen sensor connector from pipe.
  8. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe to throttle body nuts.
  9. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe to throttle body bolt.
  10. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe to engine front cover bolt.
  11. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe.

  13. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
  14. Remove the oil level indicator and oil level indicator tube.
