J 21882  Oil Suction Pipe Installer. See Special Tools .

  1. Remove the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt, if required.
  2. Remove the intake manifold coolant pipe, if required.

  4. Clean the intake manifold gasket mating surfaces using P/N 12378392 or equivalent.
  5. Clean the fuel injector bores.
  6. Inspect the intake manifold for damage.
  7. Repair or replace the intake manifold as necessary.

  9. Apply sealant P/N 21005994 or equivalent to the end of the intake manifold coolant pipe, if required.
  10. Install the intake manifold coolant pipe using J 21882  . See Special Tools .
  11. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  12. Install the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
