The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW FUEL message in the message center and the LOW FUEL indicator in the IPC when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the fuel level is less than 8.2 percent. The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the fuel level from the PCM.

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE indicator in the IPC when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low engine oil pressure, and the signal circuit is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting the indicator illumination from the PCM.

Change Oil Soon	The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the CHANGE OIL SOON message in the message center when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the engine oil needs to changed. The PCM sends a class 2 message to the IPC requesting warning message illumination. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor. Refer to GM Oil Life System Resetting .

Low Fuel	The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW FUEL message in the message center and the LOW FUEL indicator in the IPC when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the fuel level is less than 8.2 percent. The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the fuel level from the PCM.
Low Oil Level	The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW OIL LEVEL message in the message center if the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low engine oil level. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.
Low Oil Pressure	The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW OIL PRESSURE message in the message center when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low engine oil pressure, and the signal circuit is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting the warning message illumination from the PCM.

Overspeed	The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the OVERSPEED indicator when the IPC detects that the vehicle speed is more than 120 km/h (75 mph).
