Installation Procedure

If the glove compartment door cover is being replaced, remove the spring clip and transfer the handle assembly to the new cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the latch with the latch fasteners.
Tighten: Tighten the latch fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Install the connector rod.
Install the inner cover to the outer cover.
Tighten: Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Hold the hinge in the open position.

Guide the swing arm (1) into the opening. Close the compartment door.
Install the middle fastener.
Install the remaining 2 fasteners.
Verify the operation of the compartment door.
