Rear Brake Drums: Removal

  1. Release parking brake. Raise vehicle onto hoist and remove rear wheels.
  2. Remove brake drum retaining screw.
  3. Remove rear drum. If difficult to release, insert a screwdriver into access hole and push parking brake lever toward outside of drum to release shoes from adjuster. See Figure or Figure .
