Wheel Cylinders (Drum Brakes): Installation

  1. Install new wheel cylinder onto backing plate with fastener. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect brake line onto wheel cylinder.
  3. Completely assemble rear drum brake assembly.
  4. Install rear wheel. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower vehicle from hoist.
  5. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
