Rear Brake Rotor: Removal

  1. Raise vehicle onto hoist. Remove rear wheels.
  2. Remove rear brake pads. See REAR BRAKE PADS  .
  3. Remove brake pipe from rear axle control arm bracket. Plug open pipe to prevent fluid loss or contamination.
  4. Remove brake caliper rear axle control arm bolts.
  5. Carefully remove brake caliper, bending at flexible brake hose only (use wire to suspend caliper to rear spring).
  6. Remove rotor retaining screw and remove rotor. Inspect rotor. See DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS  .
