Rear Brake Rotor: Installation

  1. Position rotor onto hub, and install rotor retaining screw and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install caliper onto rear axle control arm and tighten to specification.
  3. Install rotor retaining screw. Tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Apply Loctite(tm) to caliper bracket fasteners. Install brake pipe bracket to rear axle control arm and tighten to specification.
  5. Install brake pads. See REAR BRAKE PADS  .
  6. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
  7. Install rear wheels. Tighten lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower vehicle from hoist.
