Installation Procedure

  1. Install the I/P to the vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the I/P fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install all harness clips to the I/P.

  4. Install the I/P to floor bracket fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the DLC to the I/P.
  6. Install the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
  8. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.

  9. Install the harness clips to the I/P.
  10. Install the I/P cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
  11. Install the right air outlet louver. Refer to Deflector Replacement - Instrument Panel Air - Right in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  12. Install the left air outlet louver. Refer to Deflector Replacement - Instrument Panel Air - Left in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  13. Install the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  14. Remove the HVAC control. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC - Manual.
  15. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  16. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement .
  17. Enable the passenger SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM ZONE 5 in Airbag.
  18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Battery.
  19. Verify the operation of all components in the I/P.
