Front Brake Rotor: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front wheels.
- Install a "C" clamp over the body of the brake caliper, with "C" clamp ends against the rear of the caliper body and the outboard disc brake pad. See Figure.
- Tighten "C" clamp until caliper piston is compressed into caliper bore enough to allow caliper to slide past the brake rotor.
- Remove "C" clamp.
- Remove brake caliper and caliper mounting bracket as an assembly from steering knuckle and support the assembly with wire. Ensure that there is no tension on hydraulic brake flexible hose.
- Match mark position of brake rotor to the wheel studs.
- Remove brake rotor.
NOTE:
DO NOT disconnect hydraulic brake flexible hose from caliper.
