3	Install a scan tool. Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF. With a scan tool observe the cargo lamp parameter in the BCM data list. Does the scan tool display open?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 4
4	Disconnect the deck lid switch. Connect a fused jumper between the deck lid switch signal circuit and a good ground. With a scan tool observe the cargo lamp parameter in the BCM data list. Does the scan tool display open?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 6
5	Connect a fused jumper between the deck lid switch signal circuit and the ground circuit of the deck lid switch. With a scan tool observe the cargo lamp parameter in the BCM data list. Does the scan tool display open?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 9
6	Test the signal circuit of the deck lid switch signal circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 7
7	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the body control module. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 10
