Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: If this is the initial installation of the glove compartment door lock, the factory installed cylinder plug must be removed by depressing the locking tab and pushing the plug out of the door.

IMPORTANT: When the key is inserted into the properly coded lock cylinder, all tumblers except the retainer tumbler will be flush with the lock cylinder.

Insert the key into the lock cylinder.

Place the key and lock cylinder into the glove compartment door handle
Rotate the lock cylinder counterclockwise 180 degrees to engage the retainer tumbler.
Install the glove compartment door cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
