Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment

  1. Adjust the deck lid cross-car by loosening the hinge to the rear window lower panel nuts and positioning as needed.
  2. Adjust the deck lid fore and aft and up and down at the front by loosening the deck lid to the hinge arm bolts and positioning as needed.
  3. Adjust up and down at the rear by adjusting the striker up and down. Refer to Liftgate Lock Striker Replacement .
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Tighten the hinge to the rear window lower panel nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment lid hinge-to-rear window lower panel nuts (Sedan/Coupe) to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

  5. Tighten the deck lid-to-hinge arm bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment deck lid-to-hinge arm bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Tighten the latch striker bolts when the adjustments are complete.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment latch striker bolts (Sedan/Coupe) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
