Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: LHD shown, RHD similar.
  1. Transfer listing wires to new cover.
  2. Place the seat cover over the pad. Refer to the following:
    • Hog Rings attaching seat cover center listing wires (1)
    • Hog Rings attaching seat cover listing wires to seat cushion listing wires (2)
  3. Install the hog rings around the center listing wire in the seat cover to the center listing wire in the seat cushion foam.
  4. Install two hog rings around each horizontal listing wire in the seat cover to the horizontal listing wire in the seat cushion foam.
  5. Pull the seat cover over the seat pad.

  6. Check the fit of the cover and pull on the cover where necessary to remove the wrinkles.
  7. Install the seat cushion with the cover to the seat cushion frame.
  8. Install the J-strips to the seat cushion frame.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  9. Install the seat cushion assembly to the seat adjusters.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat cushion-to-seat adjuster to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  10. On the driver's side, install the riser knob without the screw to the lower seat cushion and remove the riser knob.

  11. On the driver's seats, install the lumbar knob assembly.
    1. Thread the lumbar cable between the riser bar and the seat cushion bottom towards the lumbar actuator plate.
    2. Align the lumbar actuator cable assembly guide with the slot in the actuator plate.
    3. Install the lumbar actuator fasteners.

      Tighten:  Tighten the lumbar actuator fasteners to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  12. Align the grooves on the lumbar knob with the grooves on the lumbar actuator cable assembly and push to install.
  13. Install the lumbar knob retaining clip.

  14. Wrap the seat cushion cover rear flap to cover up the recliner cross tube and engage the seat cushion cover rear J-strip to the seat cushion frame.
    • Seat Cover (1)
    • Cushion Frame (2)
    • Foam Pad (3)
    • Cross Tube (4)
    • Seat Cover J-Strip (5)

  15. Install the seat adjuster side cover.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat side cover fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  16. Install the recliner handle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the recliner handle fastener to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  17. On the driver's side, install the seat riser knob.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat riser knob fastener to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  18. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
