Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Coupe) or Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Sedan/Wagon) in Seats.
  2. Lower the seat backs.
  3. Remove the left and right body lock pillar lower trim moldings. Refer to Trim Finish Molding Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Lower (Sedan/Wagon) .
    4. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the shoulder belt. Remove lock pillar and place on floor with shoulder belt routed through opening. Care must be taken not to damage lock pillar or shoulder belt.
  4. Remove the body lock pillar upper trim molding on one side only. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Sedan 1st Design)  or Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Sedan 2nd Design) .
  5. Remove the child safety seat top tether anchor covers.
  6. Slide the rear window trim finish panel out from under the remaining body lock pillar upper molding, over the top tether anchors and remove the panel from the vehicle.
