Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the 20A LIGHTER fuse.
    1. Remove the right lower trim panel extension by pulling outward at the dual lock location.
    2. Rotate the panel outward to disengage from the console.
    3. Remove the fuse.

  2. Obtain the J 42059  .

  3. Lift the tether cap from the cigar lighter receptacle.
  4. Locate the two small square holes in the receptacle.
  5. Hold the J 42059  at a 30° angle as it is inserted into the receptacle.
  6. Position one end of the T end of the J 42059  in one hole, then the other hole. A slight resistance will be felt as the second end is inserted into the hole.
  7. Pull the receptacle straight out.
  8. Disengage the retaining tabs and disconnect the power outlet connector.
