Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Sedan/Window)  or Front Side Door Window Replacement (Coupe) .
  3. Partially remove the inner sealing strip (belt seal) at the rear of the door.
  4. Partially remove the window secondary weatherstrip at the rear of the door.
  5. Remove the window guide. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  6. From the belt opening, using a long screwdriver, pry the rods from the door latch.
  7. Disconnect the power lock actuator wiring harness, if equipped.
  8. Disconnect the inside handle rod and lock rod from the rod retainer clip on the inside door structure.
  9. Remove the screws and remove the door latch.
