Parking Brake: Notes
NOTE:
On new vehicles with less than 50 miles and vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, press and release the brake pedal 20 times. This allows the adjuster to position the brake shoes and prevent premature wear.
NOTE:
After installation of any new parking brake components, set the parking brake system prior to performing final parking brake adjustment. To set parking brake system after adjustment, pull up on parking brake lever 3-4 with about 100 lbs. (45.3 kg) of force.
