Parking Brake Shoes: Installation

  1. Coat adjuster with silicone grease.
  2. Attach parking brake shoes to back plate with retainer springs.
  3. Slightly pull apart shoes and install adjuster.
  4. Install upper and lower return springs.
  5. Install rear rotor. See REAR BRAKE ROTOR  .
  6. Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  7. Install rear wheel and lower vehicle from hoist.
