Wheel Cylinders: Removal

  1. Raise vehicle onto hoist, and remove rear wheel assembly from vehicle.
  2. Disconnect brake pipe at rear wheel cylinder. Plug open brake pipe to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  3. Disassemble rear drum brake assembly. See REAR DRUM BRAKES  .
  4. Remove wheel cylinder fastener and remove wheel cylinder.
