Glove Compartment Door Cover: Installation

  1. If glove compartment door cover is being replaced, remove spring clip and transfer handle assembly to new cover.

  2. Install glove compartment latch with latch fasteners. Tighten glove compartment latch fasteners to 2 N.m (18 in lbs).

  3. Snap in latch to handle connector rod.
  4. Position glove compartment door inner cover to outer cover and secure with fasteners.

  5. Torque fasteners. Tighten glove compartment door outer cover fasteners to 2 N.m (18 in lbs).
  6. Position glove compartment door to vehicle.
  7. Using an awl to aid in the spring loaded hinge, position hinge to lower attachment with awl in the center fastener hole.
  8. Install outer fasteners.
  9. Install center fastener. Tighten glove compartment door fasteners to 2 N.m (18 in lbs).

  10. Operate glove compartment door to check for fit and function.
  11. Adjust if necessary then tighten fasteners.
