Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Power: Removal

  1. Remove 20 amp. lighter fuse (auxiliary fuse) located in the underhood fuse block.
  2. Obtain Cigar Lighter Removal Tool J42059.

  3. Remove cigar lighter element (lift tether cap).

  4. Locate two square holes in receptacle.

  5. Hold removal tool at a 30 degree angle as you insert it into the receptacle.

  6. Position one side of the removal tool in one hole then the other hole.

  7. Pull receptacle straight out.
  8. Disconnect connector.
