Activating System

  1. Turn ignition to LOCK position and remove key. On models equipped with head impact air bags, connect driver-side and passenger-side air bag module Yellow 2-pin connectors. Install Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clips. See Figure. Install C- or D-pillar trim panels and upper seat belt shoulder bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect driver-side and passenger-side Yellow 2-pin connectors at base of steering column. See Figure. Install CPA clips. Install driver-side knee bolster. Install AIR BAG fuse. Check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
