Rear Disc Brake Pads & Caliper: Installation

  1. Install caliper assembly to rear axle control arm and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install brake pipe to caliper assembly and tighten fastener to specification.
  2. Install brake pads into caliper. Apply a small amount of silicone to retaining pins, install retaining spring and drive pins from inside outward.
  3. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Install wheel. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower vehicle from hoist.
