Removal & Installation - Coupe

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove A-pillar trim. Remove sun visors. On models equipped with sunroof, remove bezel from dome light and sunroof console by carefully prying at outside edge to release bezel snaps.
  3. Remove striker plate covers. Remove driver-side coat hooks. Disengage Center High-Mount Stop Light (CHMSL) cover by pulling downward to release clips. Disconnect CHMSL electrical connector.
  4. Unsnap upper seat belt bolt covers from B-pillars. Remove Torx bolt attaching belt to B-pillar. Remove quarter window trim. Disconnect rear window defogger electrical connector and dome light electrical connector.
  5. Lower front seats to full back position. Carefully disengage Velcro® attaching strips and lower head liner. Ensure seat belt webbing does not damage headliner. Remove headliner through left side of vehicle.
  6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
