Circuit Description

When ignition switch is turned to RUN position, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors passenger head impact air bag high and low circuit voltage difference. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A low deployment loop resistance indicates a short between passenger head impact air bag high and low circuits.
