Diagnostic Procedure
- If SIR Diagnostic System Check has been performed, go to next step. If SIR Diagnostic System Check has not been performed, go to See SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition on. Observe instrument cluster operation. If other warning lights are operational, replace instrument cluster. If other warning lights are not operating, go to next step.
- Inspect fuel and temperature gauge operation. If both gauges are working, go to next step. If both gauges are not working, go to step 5.
- Remove instrument cluster. Measure resistance in circuit 350 from terminal No. B4 of instrument panel connector to ground. See Figure. If resistance is greater than one ohm, repair high resistance condition in circuit 350. If resistance is one ohm or less, replace instrument panel cluster. Go to step 7.
- Check IGN 1 fuse. If fuse is OK, go to next step. If fuse is not OK, replace fuse andgo to step 7.
- Remove instrument panel cluster. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage at terminal No. 1 of circuit 39. If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster. If battery voltage is not present, repair open condition in circuit 39. Go to next step.
- Reconnect all SIR components. Clear SIR DTCs. Go to See SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
