Power Sun Roof Motor Timing

NOTE: Sun roof motor has an internal microswitch which opens motor circuit (turns motor off) when window panel reaches full vent position. If motor is operated separate from power sun roof module or position of power sun roof is changed without motor installed, timing of power sun roof motor to power sun roof module will be out of phase. Putting motor back into module while out of phase will result in loss of vent position feature.
  1. Position power sun roof in fully closed position. Disengage motor from drive cables. See POWER SUN ROOF MOTOR (ACTUATOR)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Run power sun roof motor by placing power sun roof control switch in VENT position, until motor stops in full vent position.
CAUTION: DO NOT pull power sun roof motor in with attaching screws, damage to drive cables may result.
  2. Using large flat-blade screwdriver, turn motor drive gear slot clockwise 1 1/2 turns. This puts motor in fully closed position. Ensure power sun roof window panel is in fully closed position. Install motor and check for proper power sun roof operation.
