Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner. On ABS-equipped vehicles, remove battery, battery box and battery tray. On all vehicles, remove master cylinder nuts. Taking care not to bend brakelines, move master cylinder away from booster far enough to allow booster removal. Disconnect vacuum hose from check valve on booster.
- Inside vehicle, disconnect booster push rod from brake pedal pin. Remove 4 nuts securing booster onto firewall. From underhood, remove booster, tilt booster to disengage pushrod from brake pedal pin. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten master cylinder and booster nuts to specification.
