Removal & Installation ("L" Series)
- Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Tilt steering column to lowest position. Remove lower steering column cover retainers. Remove knee bolster by pulling on attaching clip locations. See Fig 1
. Remove upper and lower steering column covers.
- Remove 4 instrument cluster trim plate screws. Remove instrument cluster trim plate. Remove 4 instrument cluster screws. Pull instrument cluster out, disconnect harness connector and remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
