CHANGE OIL SOON Telltale

The change engine oil soon telltale indicator is turned on by the instrument cluster when it receives a command from PCM on 4-cylinder models, or BCM on V6 models. The ECM sends a message to BCM over the CAN serial data link. The change oil soon telltale is commanded ON based on calculated value of time and mileage.
