TENSIONER And Idler Pulley Replacement

  1. Remove accessory drive belt.
  2. Remove tensioner or idler pulley fastener and remove pulley.

  3. Coat pulley attachment bolt threads with Saturn P/N 21485277 Loctite 242® (or equivalent). Replace pulley and bearing as an assembly.

    Torque: 

    Belt Tensioner-to-Block: 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.) 

    Torque: 

    Belt Tensioner Idler Pulley Bolt: 27 N.m (20 ft. lbs.)
