Sir Coil Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL .
  2. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove ignition switch bezel, and remove lower cover. Separate SIR coil assembly harness from rosebud-type fastener below steering column. Disconnect horn/cruise control connector. Remove SIR coil assembly by carefully prying plastic retainers. Guide SIR coil wiring harness from behind lever control switch, and remove SIR coil assembly.
