Lock Cylinder: Removal

Remove steering column. See STEERING COLUMN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. See Figure to locate lock cylinder shear bolts. Put steering column in vise at upper mounting bracket. Center-punch lock cylinder-to-column shear bolt heads. Drill 1/8" hole in heads of bolts, and remove with screw extractor. Remove lock cylinder from column.
