Circuit Description

When ignition switch is turned ON, IGNITION 1 voltage is applied to terminal No. A1 of SDM from AIR BAG fuse located in underhood fuse block located on left side of engine compartment. SDM performs diagnostics of internal functions while Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) performs a bulb check by flashing AIR BAG warning light 7 times. If DTC is detected, SDM will command IPC to turn AIR BAG warning light on when bulb check is complete. If no DTC is detected, AIR BAG warning light will go out when bulb check procedure is complete.
