Sir Coil Assembly: Installation

NOTE: New SIR coil assemblies have Yellow plastic tab to prevent rotation. Do not remove this tab until after installation. If tab is not present, tape properly centered SIR coil assembly.

CAUTION: If off-centered coil assembly is installed, ribbon in coil assembly will break when steering wheel is turned.

Ensure SIR coil assembly to be installed is properly centered. See SIR COIL ASSEMBLY under ADJUSTMENTS. Route SIR coil assembly wiring harness and horn/cruise control connector behind turn signal lever switch, and down steering column. Position SIR coil assembly, and push to install plastic retainer tabs. To complete installation, reverse remainder of removal procedure.
