Diagnostic Aids

Ensure transaxle fluid level is correct. Inspect PCM, transaxle and TCC PWM solenoid connectors for bent, broken or backed out terminals. Check for chafed wire that could short to bare metal or other wiring. Inspect for broken wire inside insulation. Check for moisture or corrosion. If diagnosing for intermittent short or open condition, move wiring harness while observing scan tool for value change.
