DTC P1691: Coolant Temperature Gauge Circuit Fault: Description

Code will set if an open, short to ground or a short to battery voltage exists. This circuit is constantly monitored while ignition is on. If coolant gauge and tachometer codes are set, check ignition circuit and fuses.
