Diagnostic Aids

When PCM detects a fault (open, ground or short) in circuit, PCM circuit is open internally for protection. Check if condition is occurring when temperature is hot or cold. Use scan tool to determine temperature at time of failure.Poor electrical connections can set DTC or cause harsh shifting. Check connections at PCM, actuator connector plate or underhood junction block terminals. Wiggle connectors while performing actuator test.
