Diagnostic Procedure
- Start and idle engine for 2 minutes or until DTC sets. If DTC P0746 does not set, problem is intermittent. Check actuator harness connector. If DTC P0746 sets, go to next step.
- Inspect TRS LP fuse in underhood junction block. If fuse is okay, go to step 5). If fuse is open, inspect Red wire between TRS LP fuse and line pressure actuator for short to ground. Repair as needed. If Red wire is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect transaxle connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals "F" and "G" on transaxle side connector. If resistance is 4 ohms or greater, replace TRS LP fuse. If resistance is less than 4 ohms, go to next step.
- Remove actuator connector plate. Measure resistance across line pressure actuator terminals. If resistance is less than 4 ohms, replace line pressure actuator and TRS LP fuse. If resistance is 4 ohms or greater, replace connector plate and TRS LP fuse.
- Inspect Red wire between TRS LP fuse and line pressure actuator for open circuit. Repair as needed. If circuit is okay, disconnect transaxle connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals "F" and "G" on transaxle side connector. If resistance is 6 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than 6 ohms, go to step 7).
- Remove actuator connector plate. Measure resistance across line pressure actuator terminals. If resistance is less than 6 ohms, replace actuator connector plate. If resistance is 6 ohms or greater, replace line pressure actuator.
- Inspect Dark Blue wire between line pressure actuator and PCM for open circuit or short to ground. Repair as needed. If circuit is okay, replace PCM.
