Conditions For Setting DTC P0734

DTC P0734 will set under the following conditions:

• Vehicle speed greater than 3 MPH.
• Turbine speed greater than 224 RPM.
• No noise detected on turbine speed or vehicle speed signals.
• High line pressure has been commanded by PCM.
• Speed ratio across torque converter is equal to 255 steady state. Speed ratio across torque converter is greater than 100 on downshift or upshift. PCM monitors difference between engine RPM and turbine RPM. For example, 255 equals TCC applied with engine speed equal to turbine speed.
