Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Determine if DTC P0745 is present. This DTC must be eliminated first as a possible cause for DTC P0730. Road test vehicle.
  2. Inspect PNP switch and harness connections. See DTC P0706. Replace as needed.
  3. Ensure PNP switch is adjusted correctly. Check control cable adjustment. See TRANSMISSION SERVICING - A/T article in AUTOMATIC TRANS SERVICE section.
  4. Determine if manual valve is disconnected. Repair as needed.
  5. Using scan tool, verify if vehicle speed sensor and turbine speed sensor signals are being output.
