Diagnostic Aids

A poor connection can cause an intermittent condition. Check for poor connection at passenger-side inflator module harness connector terminal No. A and B, SDM terminal No. A4 and A1, wire to terminal connections in CKT 1403 and 1404.

NOTE: Step numbers refer to step numbers on diagnostic chart. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAM .

1) This test checks if malfunction is in passenger-side inflator module circuitry or in SDM wiring harness circuitry.
2) This test checks if malfunction is due to high resistance in circuit 1403.
4) This test checks if malfunction is due to high resistance in circuit 1404.
