Removal
CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO THE OPPOSITE END OF THE VEHICLE THAT COMPONENTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM.1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove road wheel.
3. Loosen the two steering knuckle-to-strut fasteners.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove fasteners at this time.
4. Remove and discard the three strut assembly-to-body attachment nuts.
5. Remove the two steering knuckle-to-strut fasteners.
NOTICE: Before removing strut assembly, place a rag over the CV joint seal to protect it from damage.
6. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
