TCC Stuck On (Engine Stops)

Check for a stuck line actuator. Leaking or missing input shaft seals. Damaged torque converter.

CLUTCH & ACTUATOR APPLICATION

Selector Lever Position Elements In Use
Drive
1st Gear (1) TCC Actuator, 1st Clutch, (2) Dog Clutch & 1st Sprag
2nd Gear (1) 2nd Actuator, 1st Clutch, 2nd/Reverse Clutch & (2) Dog Clutch
3rd Gear (1) 3rd Actuator, 1st Clutch, 3rd Clutch & (2) Dog Clutch
4th Gear (1) 4th Actuator, 1st Clutch, 4th Clutch & (2) Dog Clutch
"R" (Reverse) (1) 2nd/Reverse & (1) TCC Actuator, 2nd/Reverse Clutch & (3) Dog Clutch
"N" (Neutral (1) Line Actuator, All Clutches Released Or Ineffective
"P" (Park) (1) Line Actuator, All Clutches Released Or Ineffective
(1) Listed actuators off, all others are on.
(2) Applied to 2nd driven gear.
(3) Applied to reverse driven gear.
